Been driving by this place for years and just ate there tonight. My usual place was closed on Monday and I was jonesing for Mexican, read the Yelp reviews and saw pictures of the food. It was enough for me to give it a try.
I thought it was a chain and was serving food from a steam table. NOT SO this is good food served quickly hot and fresh.
Also of note was how clean they keep it. Tables bused quickly. -

Excellent.
Fresh, friendly, fast.
You know you got a great quick service restaurant when you often see local police and fire in there.
The restaurant isn't attractive and is located in a strip mall. Don't let that fool you. It's popular...
One of the best in the area if not the best. -

If you want some good ole' home cook food come here. For me with high blood pressure now, I don't find the food salty but balanced. Some say the food is bland or with not enough flavor and I find the opposite. My visit during Sunday was pleasant. Not that I watch patrons coming and going, it just so happen that I was facing the main entrance area cause my girls wanted to see the TV so guess where they sat. Our Food came quickly and even though the Church goers arrived after mass the staff still managed to get their orders in and out for those on the go. Those who came to dine in also got their food in a timely manner. The Staff managed themselves pretty well, they were alert, friendly and helpful and asked each table if they can take empty plates or offered to go boxes. But again this is based on my observation this very day.
So give them a try. Just because there are disagreement on people's view and comment on the Restaurant your experience may vary. But if you only base and rely on YELP! Reviews to drive your life then you can't be adventurous and experience what YELPERS have been doing all these years to make these observation comments!
**Side Laugh Note**
I did laugh about Cassandr M. review about how she saw some staff drinking 40's in the parking lot (cause there are some here who know all about the 40!) but for the safety of others she should have gone inside to make complaint/comment and not to state it here on YELP! as an observation. Remember drinking on the job and driving is a big no, no. Even Large Corporations break this rule all the time. So save a life from a DUI! -

I feel like I've given this place a fair chance multiple times, but every time I've ordered it's insanely salty or completely bland.
So over the course of 8 months I've had the carnitas burrito, chicken burrito, tostada salad, tacos, steak burrito, and lastly the pork and chicken tamale.
The place itself is clean, the chips/salsa bar are great, and the coke machine is by far the best Coca Cola dispensed in the neighborhood. The employees are super nice too, but to get down to the nitty gritty- the food flavor lacks.
I feel like sometimes you get for what you pay for, but then it's just a hit or miss for me. For instance, the tacos are pretty decent, but honestly how could you mess that up. And then today I order a pork and chicken tamale, and for $5.99 a piece it was super disappointing. More masa then there was meat on both. And then this bland sauce on the top that created a mess and melted the styrofoam container.
Nonetheless this isn't my first choice in Mexican food. I've tried about 6-10 times on giving it chance after chance, but unfortunately it never seems to satisfy my tastebuds. However I do have to emphasize that the Coca Cola machine dispenses the best coke ever.
